The idea of group travel probably conjures up images of a bunch of tourists herded like cattle by a fanny-pack wearing, flag-toting tour guide - right?
Savvy travelers are increasingly joining small-group trips (typically less than 15 people; often as few as 6 or 8) as a way to socialize and share a meaningful travel experience with other likeminded introverts, but with plenty of unstructured time built in, and a nest to retreat to at the end of the day.
